Wolfe Tones GAC has been shortlisted for the Club of the Year (Rounders) at the upcoming Ulster GAA Awards which will be held in Canavan’s, Garvaghey, Co. Tyrone on Friday 31st January.
Wolfe Tones is the only rounders club in County Antrim and last year won the Ulster Junior Mixed Shield, also qualifying for the All-Ireland quarter-final.
Responding to news of the shortlisting, rounders co-ordinator Arleen Ramsey said “I am so unbelievably proud even to be shortlisted. It shows the dedication of the rounders players and the support of the club.”
Club Chairperson Tiarnán Millar said “We are delighted to have been shortlisted. It’s fantastic recognition for the whole club and the work we are doing to be seen as a welcoming environment for anyone to come and enjoy Gaelic games.”
